text-align: left;">Alkaline Water for Better Health

The advantages of alkaline-water are supported by experience, by numerous doctors, and by scientists. Bottle or tap water quality varies tremendously and may not be healthy or safe for drinking. You need water with a positive pH level. Most bottle or tap water has a neutral pH level of 7.

The most effective way to boost your pH level and your health is to drink alkaline or kangen water. The word "Kangen" in Japan, means "return to origin," and it is a marketing term used by Enagic to promote its brand of ALKALINE or ionizer water.

Good water should be: oxygenated, high in electrically charged ionic minerals and pure. Unfortunately, municipal water and even bottled water may have impurities, such as heavy metals, arsenic, pesticides, radon, chlorine, and pharmaceutical wastes. You want to drink water with no trace of toxins. An Enagic machine filters harmful chemicals out of tap water, and through the process of ionization produces alkaline water. The water can be used for various purposes including drinking, cooking, beauty, and cleaning

A dehydrated body loses its ability to function well, and when enzymes slow down, the body becomes an acid environment for viruses to thrive. Due to the standard American diet, stress and many other factors, most people that experience ill health have an overly acidic body that is the breeding ground for pathogens, disease and sickness. While eating an alkaline diet can be challenging, drinking Kangen water is the easiest and most effective way to raise your pH and heal and energize your body. Bottle and tap water, soda, and some of the foods we eat are acidic. Quality, not just quantity matters! Drink enough alkaline, ionized, and oxygenated, water, and you will be well on your way to better health.

You have probably heard that you need to drink about eight glasses of water daily. Drinking acidic water contributes to an acidic system, and that can cause low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches and pains, and even more serious disorders. Plus, an acidic environment is a perfect breeding ground for microorganisms, which can further compromise your health. Healthy cells are rich in oxygen and are hydrated (contain enough water). Because the human body is made up of more than 70% water, cells that are not hydrated and do not contain enough oxygen provide an environment for diseases such as cancer, heart, liver, lung, and kidney disease, including colon and digestive problems.

Kangen water provides many health benefits. It keeps the body properly hydrated and assists with colon function. Please, consult experts on the benefits of alkaline water and foods. Become an informed consumer by seeking out more information from established Independent Distributor ID# 5102585. I will be happy to share more with you as most of good news about Enagic is shared by word of mouth. You may also testify to the facts if you are knowledgeable about kangen water.
The young, old, Democrats, Republicans, students, professors and people far and near turned out in great numbers and the crowd almost became uncontrollable.

The President and his entourage, including Sen. Russ Feingold, Mayor Tom Barrett and other speakers, fired up the population. Despite the fact that the event was open to the public, it would appear that the planning committee and the police in Madison underestimated the number of people who would attend to see and hear the president. People came from all parts of the state and beyond - Minneapolis, Chicago, Dubuque and other neighboring out of state cities. The Midwest loves President Obama.

I drove from Platteville to Madison around midday and I was lucky to get into the mall and to find a good spot from where I took pictures and listened to the speeches. I believe the police and organizers did a great job of managing the overflowing crowd. They were no incidents or injuries despite some stampede.

Could the Kohl center or Camp Randle have accommodated more people than the Library mall? Could the university have worked more closely with the city in planning for a large crowd? I feel the frustration of those who came from far and near but could not gain admission into the mall. It is also sad that some of those who got into the mall could not see the stage because of the population. Why were large monitors not provided to carry the event within the area and up to Bascom Hill?

Despite the campaign and the progress agenda put forth by the democrats the results of the mid term vote in November was disappointing. What went wrong? Why was Feingold and the many democratic candidates in Wisconsin replaced by republicans? The democrats have to rethink their strategy of compromise. The have to be forceful and clear in telling the voters what they have done and intent to do. The next national election is not far from now.

Memorial Tribute to Fallen Colleagues

Within the last year a number of very closed friends have passed onto eternal life. I devote this blog to the memory of those friends and the many other associates who are resting in the peace of the Lord.

Dr. Mark W. He died peacefully passed away peacefully in the presence of his wife Mary. We valued our friendship that lasted for many years. May his soul rest in peace. We will forever remember him for his friendship, kindness and words of wisdom. In the words of his wife, “he thought so much of you and your family and appreciated your keeping in touch so regularly during his retirement. That kind of loyalty is rare and I want you to know that I saw his happiness when he received cards or e-mail from you. Thank you”.

Monday, August 4, 2010, we got the sad news of the passing onto eternal glory of my beloved adviser, English education professor at the University of Wyoming, and good friend, Dr. Eugene V. Both of them, devoted catholic Christians are now together in God’s Kingdom.

After Gene’s eightieth birthday, he continuously made it clear in our communication by e-mail and phone that he would love for my family to visit him in Wyoming soon because he was getting ready to go to the Lord. The following is a quote from one of his latest mail: “I would welcome you with open arms. Maybe your whole family could come. I'd be thrilled, but we must plan that soon. As you know, I am of an advanced age. I knew Gene well and spent quality time with him both in and out of the classroom in Wyoming in the early eighties. I spent time with his family on many occasions and witnessed his loving kindness to his family, friends, colleagues, students and the Laramie community.

Dr. Gwendolyn D. She served as a professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and Teacher Education Coordinator. She took over the post from me prior to my leave of absence and I am delighted to resume the coordinator position as she requested on her sick bed. Gwen enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Michael Coe, who resides in Platteville, WI, her two sons, Eric and Sean. They range from biologically giving birth to emotionally and spiritually nurturing, guiding, and protecting the offspring. In a broad sense, not all mothers have biological children and conversely, not all women who have given birth perform the demanding duties of motherhood. Two examples come to mind: The blessed Virgin, Mary, the mother Christ, and Mafua Ndem - Chiara Lubich, a Mafua of the Lebialem people.

The second Sunday in May is a special day, set aside, to celebrate Motherhood. The day is celebrated to honor mothers and express gratitude for their role in giving birth and nurturing life. At a graduation ceremony this weekend, coinciding with mothers day, the commencement speaker indicated that many children today believe that their mothers and fathers are not sophisticated enough to guide them. At the same ceremony a young graduate moved the attendance to tears when she honestly and tactfully apologized and wondered why it took her so long to listen to the mother.

The family is a special unit to all of us. As the African saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child.” The child’s first village is the family unit before the global village. We salute all our mothers, grand mothers, mother-in-laws, wives, aunts, sisters, daughters and girl friends, who perform the invaluable tasks of motherhood. We thank them for being special mothers in so many ways and in their many roles on earth.

Peace On Earth

President Obama – Nobel Peace Laureate

US President Obama in his acceptance speech of the Nobel Peace Prize defended his decision to send 30,000 more US troops to Afghanistan, to continue to fight a war that was started by President George Bush and has lasted for over eight years. Obama indicated that some wars are necessary and just, and reminded the world of the burden the United States had borne in the fight against oppression and appeal for greater international efforts for peace.

Like other peace loving citizens, I am happy that Mr. Obama was awarded the Nobel peace prize but defer with him on his stance on a war in a foreign land that has lasted for over eight years with numerous civilian casualty. who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.”

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled — Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of red states and blue states; we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It's the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year, or even one term, but America — I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you: We as a people will get there.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as president, and we know that government can't solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And, above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it's been done in America for 221 years — block by block, brick by brick, callused hand by callused hand.

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time — to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can.

=================

Maybe without Bush and the mess he caused, there might not have been an Obama's presidency in 2009. Everything happens for a reason!

font-weight: bold;">Bellah Ngeh Development Insight has achieved three main goals: document the rich culture and history of the people, showcase Bellah Ngeh development efforts within Lebang and the overall development of Lebialem, and collected resources for future development.
It was not easy gathering historical facts from oral history that is not always reliable because of the weakness in human memory and the subjective manner in which narrators view and assess events. With the passage of time precious knowledge is lost through the passing of wise elders. Most of our elders (and even the youth) who are reservoirs of our valuable history are moving on faster than we like.
Bellah Ngeh children born away from the village needed a document like this to serve as a reference for family history since the young generation knows little about their place of birth.
Contributors have provided a rare insight into Bellah Ngeh history, genealogy, immigration, geography, and land disputes to help the younger generation and other readers know more about Bellah.
This book pays tribute to some Bellah “historical figures.” Like many traditional societies affected by modern urbanization, Bellah Ngeh is in the process of losing its cultural identity. We consider the fact that Bellah Ngeh is fast merging with Menji - the Divisional Head Quarters of Lebialem - a blessing in disguise. The book includes an in-depth analysis of the achievements and failures of Bellah Ngeh Development Association (BNDA) started almost thirty years ago

Get your copy from one of the following sources or from AMAZON:
BNDA Treasurer

Book Editor
NGT Publishing

Happy Reading. The reader will be impressed by its content, the invaluable contributions from numerous authors, the size of the publication, and quality of original photos and manuscripts, from the palace and Focolare archives. Chiara Lubich is the founder of the Focolare movement, an Italian Christian group, which started in 1943 in the midst of the destruction during World War II. The movement has spread to various parts of the world. Chiara and the movement have made profound ecumenical impact on fostering dialog among the various Christian, non-Christian, Jewish, and Muslim groups. The movement has also been active in evangelizing and effecting change in economic, social, and political justice in many nations.

I first saw Chiara and became involved in the movement in the mid sixties when the Focolare established a hospital and a post primary institution in Fontem - Lebialem, Cameroon. I have since followed up with keen interest and admiration the works of Chiara and the Focolare. Chiara was to the Fontem people as Mother Teresa was to the people of Calcutta.

The Fontem people gave Chiara a traditional title reserved for cultural icons because of her charisma and good works. They named her “Mafua Ndem” -- literally translated as a queen in God’s Royal Court. Chiara received many deserving honors and awards from global institutions and organizations.

The evangelization of the Focolare in Lebialem, as in other parts of the developing world, has lead to rapid sustainable development with many economic and social benefits for the people. The Focolare’s documentation, “Miracle in the Forest,” reveals miraculous changes in Lebialem because of Chiara’s work.

My prayer and hope is that the Focolare will continue the good works of the founder-- that all may be one and that all may come to know God regardless of congregation or denomination and regardless of creed or race. My tribute to “Mafua Ndem” is an appeal for religious tolerance, Christian love, and unity for a new world. Chiara worked towards these ideals all her life. May her soul rest in peace and may her great works of love for ecumenical outreach continue to flourish.

Blogged with the Flock Browser

Lefua In Lebialem

The hottest publication currently off our press is LEFUA IN LEBIALEM: Decline or Transformation. Have you read the book? Do you need a copy. Check out the reviews from nkemnjiglobaltech.com or amazon.com

You will enjoy the views of each of the 17 contributors to this volume. Happy reading!

Lefua In Lebialem provides a rare insight to the universe of Lebialem at the dawn of the 21st century. Reflections and analyses in the book include a diagnosis of the decline of Nweh cultural institutions and the fundamental problems behind the decline. The book documents the concepts of greetings, births, naming, marriage, and death in the good old days.
It explores the role of Lebialem traditional leaders and how the culture is imagined and viewed. The ancestor’s were anxious about “what will happen to their home after they are gone!” The volume puts forward arguments that are both about analyzing the concept of culture, and about the positions and politics of such analyses. There are serious questions staring Lebialem in the face today. This is one of the best treasures on Lebialem culture you will ever have.
